Interim
In my final project for the Bachelor of Fine Arts, I conceived sculptures and sculptures for the existing spaces. Individual objects react to the architecture and bear names that give insight into my inner body worlds. I was keen to reveal the process-oriented way of working by using the familiar work tables from the university's own mold and cast workshop as pedestals and displaying collected sources of inspiration in a showcase. Using plaster and pigments, I explored the cosmos of physicalities and understood how intuitive design could lead me to an organic visual language. Furthermore, I used learned painting techniques such as a marble surface to place the entities in front of a suitable background. Bent reinforcing iron becomes the essential support material and gives the science-fiction-like figures an attitude direction.
