In this temporary installation I was concerned with how the medium of drawing, by means of sculptural forms of design and choice of materials, can occupy space. An enlarged ballpoint pen drawing is printed on the bed sheet. The motif itself is reminiscent of a rumpus or storage room. The other side of the sheet features a drawing of a tent entrance and a textile pink applique with a loop. Through several washes with washing powder and high temperature, the motif was to be washed out of the textile, within the three-day exhibition period. The unfolded sheet was hung out to dry in the courtyard, allowing the viewer:inside to create their own projection of images - in the methaporic sense. Thus, the charged sheet was subsequently washed clean again - comparable to the cleansing effect of sleep. The essentials of a dream memory remain visible as a line, so to speak, and gradually fade away. I was interested in extracting the mechanized and habitual household task from the living space and attributing a calming effect to the process of washing, with a washing machine.
